‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ is coming to Philippine cinemas this week

The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas this May 8, 2024. The movie, directed by Wes Ball of the “Maze Runner” trilogy, promises a fresh perspective on a world where apes reign supreme and humans lurk in the shadows.

The film is set several generations after Caesar’s reign and introduces a young ape who embarks on a perilous journey, challenging the status quo and seeking answers that could alter the future of both apes and humans.

The cast features a blend of established talent and rising stars, including Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon, and William H. Macy. The film is produced by Wes Ball, Joe Hartwick Jr., Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Jason Reed, with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping serving as executive producers.

The screenplay, written by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver, draws from characters created by Jaffa and Silver, ensuring continuity with the franchise’s rich lore.
