vivo teams up with UA&P to launch Futsal League

Futsal (or futbol sala) is an indoor variant of football that's been gaining significant traction in the Philippines.

vivo partners with the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) to bolster its commitment to health and community engagement. The collaboration involves UA&P’s Physical Education (PE) Department, the Men’s Futsal Varsity Team, and the upcoming UA&P – vivo PH Inter-Collegiate Futsal League 2024.

vivo is already a sponsor of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and UEFA Euro 2024. It now extends its reach to the collegiate level by sponsoring UA&P’s Inter-Collegiate Futsal Tournament and High 5 Men’s Open Tournament.

The league is scheduled for August to December 2024 and aims to elevate the profile of futsal (or futbol sala), an indoor variant of football gaining significant traction in the Philippines.

“We at vivo are thrilled to support the UA&P Men’s Futsal Varsity Team,” said Liu Lu, vivo Philippines Brand Marketing Department Head. “This collaboration is a testament to our dedication to fostering sportsmanship and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this tournament will have on the community.”
