The iPad Air M2 and iPad Pro M4 are now available in the Philippines. The new tablets, which launched in May, feature new chipsets that give the devices a significant boost in performance.
The new iPads are now available at Power Mac Center and Beyond the Box stores nationwide.
iPad Air M2
The iPad Air M2 (or iPad Air 6th gen) comes in two sizes 11-inch and an all-new 13-inch. Both are powered by the new M2 chip. The new processor has an 8-core CPU and a 10-core GPU, which provides up to 3x performance boost compared to the previous generation iPad Air powered by the A14 Bionic chip.
The tablets retain the Liquid Retina display with a P3 wide color, True Tone technology, and an anti-reflective coating for comfortable viewing in various lighting conditions.
The new iPad Air runs on iPadOS 17 and offers increased storage flexibility with options ranging from 128GB to 1TB.
It also has a 12MP wide sensor at the back and a 12MP camera in front, which has been repositioned for a landscape orientation. The tablets boast Wi-Fi 6E and 5G support (cellular models only) via eSIM. It has a USB-C port that allows for fast charging and data transfer.

iPad Pro M4
The iPad Pro M4 is powered by the all-new M4 chip, built on a 3nm process. This chip features a combination of up to four high-performance cores and six efficiency cores, alongside a 10-core GPU.
According to Apple, the M4 can deliver the same level of performance as the M2 chip while consuming only half the power. Additionally, compared to the latest PC chips found in thin and light laptops, it offers equivalent performance using a quarter of the power.
The tablet comes in the familiar 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, packing an Ultra Retina XDR display that uses tandem OLED to deliver improved contrast, color accuracy, and brightness.
Moreover, the iPad Pro is incredibly thin – the 11-inch model comes in at 5.3mm, while the 13-inch model is even thinner at 5.1mm.
On the imaging front, the iPad Pro has a 12MP rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide front sensor with Center Stage, now repositioned to a landscape orientation.
