Samsung unveiled its latest foldable flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip6. With a starting price of PHP 70,990, the device brings several improvements over the Flip5, such as an enhanced Armor Aluminum body, a bigger 4000mAh battery, and a new 50MP camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has a 120Hz 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a 60Hz 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display, the same ones found on last year’s model.
Under the hood, however, it brings an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, which offers improved CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. The processor is also optimized for AI processing.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 has a new 50MP main camera with 2x optical zoom, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. It also retains the 10MP selfie shooter.
The phone also has a vapor chamber (a first for the Flip series) and a bigger 4000mAh battery. It runs on OneUI 6.1.1 on top of Android 14, secured by Samsung’s expansive list of security and privacy features such as Samsung Knox, Knox Vault, Security & Privacy Dashboard, Auto Blocker, passkeys, Secure Wi-Fi, and Private sharing in Quick Share.
Price and Pre-order Details
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available for pre-order starting July 10, with general availability starting July 31. The phone comes in Silver Shadow, Yellow, Blue, and Mint, with Samsung.com exclusive Crafted Black, White, and Peach.
