Xiaomi launched its latest foldable, the MIX Fold 4, alongside the MIX Flip. The device boasts a large foldable display, four rear cameras, and an ultra-thin design.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 has an “all-carbon architecture” with a thickness of only 4.59mm when unfolded and 9.47mm when folded. The hinge floating plate, display backing plate, and middle plate battery compartment are made from the T800H carbon fiber material for added durability.
It has a 7.98-inch LTPO AMOLED inside display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. While the cover display sports a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel with scratch and drop-resistant glass.
Under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with either 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, or 16GB+1TB configuration. It has a 5100mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless fast charging and a vapor chamber for cooling.
The MIX Fold 4 has four rear cameras, consisting of a 50MP main, a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, a 10MP periscope with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide. It also has a 16MP cover camera and a 16MP inside camera for selfies when unfolded. The cameras are equipped with Leica’s next-generation Summilux lenses.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 is available in White, Black, Blue, and a composite fiber edition. It’s pricing undercuts Samsung’s new foldable with CNY 8,999 (Php 72,200 or USD 1,237) for the 12GB+256GB variant, CNY 9,999 (Php 80,250 or USD 1,375) for the 16GB+512GB variant, and CNY 10,999 (Php 88,280 or USD 1,513) for the top-of-the-line 16GB+1TB variant.
