The cost of YouTube Premium subscriptions in the Philippines is set to increase starting October 2024.
The Individual Plan will see a price bump to Php 189 per month, up from the current Php 159. The Family Plan will also experience a significant rise, jumping to Php 379 per month from Php 239. A Student Plan is also available for Php 115 per month.
The new pricing will take effect for all new subscribers. Current subscribers will experience the price increase on their upcoming billing date.
This price adjustment follows similar increases in other countries throughout the past year. Emails have been sent to affected subscribers outlining the reasons behind the decision. The email said that the price increase would allow them to “continue to improve Premium and support the creators and artists” on the platform.
While an official announcement is still pending, you can confirm your current subscription details by going to Settings > Purchases and Memberships in the YouTube app.
YouTube Premium offers a range of benefits, including ad-free viewing, background and offline playback, access to YouTube Music and YouTube Originals, and enhanced video quality for 1080p content.
