POCO website to shut down, brand to move under Xiaomi

POCO announced the closure of its global website (www.po.co/global/) effective December 31, 2024. This decision encompasses all regional POCO websites as well.

However, fans of the budget-friendly smartphone brand needn’t worry as POCO itself is not going away anytime soon (at least not yet).

Instead, POCO products and services are being transitioned to Xiaomi’s main website (www.mi.com/global/). This includes product pages, customer service channels, after-sales support, and any other offerings previously found on the POCO website.

Furthermore, POCO device owners will continue to receive after-sales services from Xiaomi following the website closure. The POCO Store app will also be discontinued.

Launched in August 2018 as a sub-brand of Xiaomi, POCO has achieved significant success, particularly in India where it briefly operated as an independent entity. Over the years, the brand has released over 30 smartphone models across popular series like the Poco F, X, M, and C.

At this point, the future of the POCO as a separate entity is unclear. Xiaomi already has the Redmi sub-brand, which offers a similar range of entry-level, mid-range, and high-end smartphones. This consolidation could mean a potential streamlining of Xiaomi’s smartphone offerings under a single banner.
