Samsung Galaxy A16 4G variant announced with up to 6 years of updates

Samsung has recently announced the Galaxy A16 4G variant in the French market. While identical to its 5G counterpart in most aspects, the 4G model is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor.

The Galaxy A16 4G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It has a 13MP hole-punch selfie camera on the front, and a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens, at the back.

Under the hood, the device is equipped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Running on One UI 6.1, the Galaxy A16 4G promises promises 6 years of security updates and 6 generations of OS updates.

Further, the device has a 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Additionally, it features an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 4G is coming to France this November in gray, sea green, and midnight blue with a matte finish. Its official pricing has not yet been revealed.
