Samsung Galaxy phones get June 2026 Google Play update

Samsung Galaxy phones are now getting the June 2026 Google Play System update, but it looks like it’s limited to devices running One UI 9.0. The rollout was confirmed on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while older models on One UI 8.5 didn’t show the update.

Once installed, the system date shifts the latest patch from Google, dated June 1, 2026. To check if you have the update, go to Settings > About phone > Software information > Google Play System update. If available, you’ll see the option to download and install, then restart to complete the process.

Samsung is also pushing the June 2026 security patch and One UI 8.5 updates to supported Galaxy devices. These updates improve stability and tighten security across the lineup.

On top of that, some Google apps may need manual updates through the Play Store. Expect a wider availability once more models move to One UI 9.0.
