Samsung has started rolling out the September 2026 Android security patch to the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A56. The update first landed in South Korea and will reach more markets soon.
The patch comes with 90 security fixes. Google added 58, with 18 marked critical and 40 high-risk. Samsung Mobile contributed 31, including 2 critical, 3 high-risk, 15 moderate, and 11 undisclosed issues. Samsung Semiconductor included 1 high-risk fix. These updates aim to keep devices safe from new threats.
Earlier this month, Samsung pushed the same patch to flagship models like the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra. The rollout is staged, so timing will vary depending on your region and carrier. Some users may see the update right away, while others may need to wait a bit longer.
This release is focused purely on security. No new features are included. Samsung also bundled the patch with the stable One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S26 series. This means users get both system improvements and stronger protection in one go.
