Samsung has started rolling out One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. The update is based on Android 17 and first went live in South Korea as a 650MB over-the-air release.
One UI 9 adds new AI features to make your phone smarter and easier to use. My FanCam lets you auto-track and center a chosen person in video recordings. Now Brief allows you to create and edit daily cards with generative AI, covering health, weather, and video updates. Now Nudge has been simplified to show fewer steps when pulling up context like reservations in chats.
Samsung also improved several built-in tools. Creative Studio now suggests image ideas for events such as birthdays. Interpreter adds Thread View for smoother translated conversations. Document Scan handles curved pages and folded corners more easily. Voice Recorder can summarize recordings with headings and tables for quick review.
A new Warranty and Care menu is built into Settings. It helps you check warranty status, run diagnostics, get repair estimates, and manage Samsung Care+. Security and privacy also get a lift. Security Brief alerts you to malware, unknown apps, and risky permissions. On-device AI now flags suspicious access attempts. Scam detection expands to more countries and languages.
