These Samsung Galaxy devices could get Android 17

Samsung is already working on Android 17 for several Galaxy devices, right after Google rolled it out to Pixel phones earlier this month. The first beta builds of One UI 9, based on Android 17, are now live for the Galaxy S26 series.

The beta program started in May and will run for at least another month. Samsung is also lining up builds for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8, which are expected to launch in late July. Stable updates don’t have a set schedule yet.

Here’s the list of Galaxy devices that could get Android 17:

  • Galaxy S26 series
  • Galaxy S25 series
  • Galaxy S24 series (including FE)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 (upcoming)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7
  • Galaxy A57, A56, A34, A17, A16
  • Galaxy Tab S11 series
  • Galaxy Tab S10 series
  • Galaxy Tab S12+ (upcoming)
  • Galaxy A18 (upcoming)

Note that this list only covers devices Samsung is currently testing builds on, which means they may or may not get the Android 17 update.

The rollout is still in its early stages, but Samsung is moving fast. Expect more beta releases in the coming weeks, with foldables, tablets, and mid-range phones joining the S26 series soon.
