Hearing Aid feature coming to Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, 4 Pro

Samsung is bringing a Hearing Aid feature to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. The feature is expected to roll out in early 2027 after getting approval in South Korea and the United States.

The update adds a built-in hearing test called Hearing Check. It measures your hearing levels and creates a personal hearing profile based on the results.

The earbuds can then adjust sound to match your hearing needs through a feature called Hearing Care. The goal is to make it easier to hear sounds that may be harder to pick up.

Users can access the hearing tools directly from the Galaxy Buds settings on a connected Galaxy smartphone. The hearing test groups results into six levels, from normal hearing to very severe hearing loss.

The company said the feature uses the NAL-NL2 prescription formula developed by Australia’s National Acoustical Laboratory. This standard helps determine the right amount of sound amplification across different frequencies.

The Hearing Aid feature is designed for adults 18 and older who think they may have mild to moderate hearing loss. It lets them check their hearing and get personalized sound support using earbuds they already own.

For Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro owners, the update could make the earbuds more useful beyond music, calls, and entertainment. Samsung says the rollout is planned for early 2027, with more details expected closer to release.
