Mocha Mousse named Pantone’s Color of the Year 2025; Collabs with Motorola for colored phones

Pantone has announced PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse as its Color of the Year for 2025. This warm and inviting brown hue is described as embodying “subtle elegance and sensorial richness.”

“Underpinned by our desire for everyday pleasures, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse expresses a level of thoughtful indulgence,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of Pantone Color Institute.

Mocha Mousse offers versatility in design with its sophisticated and earthy elegance. It can be used as a standalone statement color or as a foundation for a wider range of palettes.

This versatile shade is expected to have a significant impact across various industries, influencing trends in fashion, home decor, and product design.

Motorolla x Pantone

Pantone has once again collaborated with Motorolla to release Mocha Mousse-colored Razr 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Neo.

The Motorola Razr 50 Ultra is an elegant flip phone, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a 4000mAh battery that supports 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. The device features a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED main display and a 4.0-inch pOLED cover display.

The flip phone sports a dual camera setup with a 50MP main and 50MP telephoto cameras. While a 32MP shooter handles selfies and video calls.

The Motorola Edge 50 Neo, on the other hand, has a 6.4-inch pOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, and a 4310mAh battery with 68W wired and 15W wireless fast charging.

The device has a triple camera module at the back with a 50MP main, 10MP telephoto, and 13MP ultra-wide cameras. It also has a 32MP front camera for selfies.
