Google is integrating Deep Research into Gemini AI assistant: Deep Research. Essentially, Deep Research acts as a personal research assistant, capable of diving deep into complex topics, analyzing information from various sources, and generating comprehensive reports — all in a short time.
With Deep Research, users can just provide a topic or ask a question, and Gemini takes over. The AI autonomously explores the internet, analyzes relevant data, and synthesizes the findings into a multi-page report, freeing up time and empowering users to focus on understanding and applying the knowledge.
Students can use the tool to accelerate their research projects, while entrepreneurs can utilize it to conduct competitor analyses and identify optimal business locations. Marketers can also benefit by using Deep Research to research recent AI-powered marketing campaigns and benchmark their 2025 planning strategies.
Alongside the launch of Deep Research, Google also unveiled Gemini 2.0 Flash, an experimental model designed to enhance performance and speed. This updated model showcases significant improvements in understanding user intent, ensuring faster and more accurate responses.
Deep Research is currently available in English on desktop and mobile for Gemini Advanced users and will be available in the mobile app in early 2025. To activate, select “Gemini 1.5 Pro with Deep Research” from the model drop-down menu and enter the research query.
