Epson has launched the ColorWorks CW-C8050, its latest on-demand color label printer. This device is built for high-volume printing, specifically targeting the manufacturing and packaging industries that demand speed, quality, and reliability.
The CW-C8050 boasts a range of upgrades over its predecessor, the CW-C7510/G. These include enhanced PrecisionCore printhead technology for sharper images and faster print speeds of up to 11.8 inches per second, translating to quicker turnaround times and increased productivity for busy businesses.

The CW-C8050 uses Epson’s UltraChrome DL pigment inks to ensure vibrant, smudge-resistant labels with accurate colors and sharp text. It can also handle a wide range of materials from matte and gloss paper to film and synthetic options. Additionally, it has an adjustable platen gap that can accommodate media up to 0.6mm thick.
Minimal Maintenance, Maximum Uptime
The CW-C8050 includes features like the Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) and dot substitution to minimize misprints and downtime. The NVT’s auto-maintenance function can proactively detect and resolve blocked nozzles, ensuring consistent print quality with minimal user intervention.
Furthermore, the printer uses high-yield ink packs with a total capacity of 1.9 liters, reducing the frequency of ink changes and minimizing waste.
