Following the recent reveal of the ROG Phone 9 FE, ASUS has announced its latest flagship, the Zenfone 12 Ultra, in Europe, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The new handset is priced at EUR 1,100, which converts to around PHP 66,300 or USD 1,140.
The big news here is the Snapdragon 8 Elite that powers the Zenfone 12 Ultra. This high-end chip, also found in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series, the ROG Phone 9 Series and other new flagships features an Oryon CPU, which offers a 45% performance boost over its predecessor.
The Zenfone 12 Ultra is equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The handset is powered by a 5500mAh battery, which supports 65W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The device boasts a 6.78-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1-120Hz, which can go up to 144Hz during gaming sessions. The display offers a peak brightness of 2500 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
For optics, the flagship’s triple camera setup is headlined by a 50MP Sony Lytia 700 main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 32MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP RGBW front sensor.
Additional features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, multi-magnet stereo speakers, and an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance.
