Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 to the global market. These flagship devices boast powerful specifications, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with some subtle differences from their Chinese counterparts.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra sports a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 3200×1440 resolution, an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120Hz, and adaptive brightness that reaches up to 3200 nits. The screen supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision content and is protected by Xiaomi’s Shield Glass 2.0.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and options for 512GB or 1TB of storage. The device packs a 5410mAh battery and supports 90W wired and 80W wireless fast charging.
For optics, the 15 Ultra features a triple rear camera setup led by a 1-inch 50MP Sony LYT-900 main sensor with OIS. It also includes two telephoto lenses: a 50MP camera with a 70mm equivalent zoom lens and a new 200MP sensor with a 100mm equivalent lens. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera.
Additional features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, a 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop cooling system, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
Xiaomi has also launched the vanilla 15 flagship globally. This model shares the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and is equipped with a 5240mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
The Xiaomi 15 boasts a versatile camera system, with a 50MP Light Fusion 900 main sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera with a 60mm equivalent lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. It also has a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.
Price and Availability
Both the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra have similar prices to their predecessors. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is available in Black, White, and Silver Chrome colors, with the 16GB+512GB base model starting at EUR 1,500 (around PHP 90,400 or USD 1,560).
The Xiaomi 15, on the other hand, comes in Black, White, Green, and Liquid Silver colors, with the 12GB+256GB model starting at EUR 1,000 (PHP 60,300 or USD 1,040).
