Xiaomi recently launched the Watch S4 in the Philippines, priced starting at ₱7,799. With its innovative customizability and impressive feature set, the smartwatch certainly looks good on paper. But does it live up to expectations? Let’s find out in this review.
Design and Build
The Xiaomi Watch S4 features a 47mm case and a 22mm strap, complete with a quick-release mechanism for easy strap changes.

A standout feature is the removable bezel, which allows users to switch between styles. Interestingly, changing the bezel also automatically adjusts the watch face to match the new bezel and strap combination.
The smartwatch sports an aluminum alloy frame, delivering a lightweight yet durable build. Our review unit came in the Black variant with a soft, silky fluororubber strap. The combination is remarkably lightweight at just 44.5g, making it comfortable for extended wear.

However, its size leans on the larger side; with my 7-inch wrist and relatively large hands, I found it slightly oversized.
Display and Water Resistance
The Watch S4 is equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display boasting a 466×466 resolution and a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. The screen offers excellent visibility, even under direct sunlight, making it suitable for outdoor activities.

With a 5ATM water resistance rating, the smartwatch can withstand water pressure equivalent to a depth of 50 meters. It’s perfectly suited for swimming or showering, though it’s not designed for high-impact water sports or diving.
Software and Features
Powered by Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, the Watch S4 connects to your phone via Bluetooth 5.3 and integrates with Xiaomi Smart Hub for efficient device management. It handles the usual smartwatch functions, such as message notifications with quick replies and call management.

For fitness and health enthusiasts, the Watch S4 offers over 150 sports modes alongside an upgraded self-developed algorithm for precise health tracking.
The watch provides all-day monitoring of heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, and sleep patterns. Its heart rate monitoring claims an impressive 98% accuracy, generating detailed reports, and offering breathing training courses for stress relief.
For runners, it has advanced L1+L5 GNSS technology, which offers precise location and pace tracking.
Battery Life
The Watch S4 features a 486mAh battery. After nearly two weeks of testing, the watch still had around 40% battery remaining, which is pretty close to Xiaomi’s promise of up to 15 days of usage.
Final Thoughts

The Xiaomi Watch S4 is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable smartwatch with a full feature set and long battery life. Its removable bezel adds a unique touch, allowing the watch to quickly change between sporty, casual, and formal looks. While the bezel-swapping feature may feel gimmicky to some, it does provide extra customization that sets this watch apart.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Watch S4 starts at ₱7,799 for the Black and Silver variants, with the Rainbow color priced at ₱8,299.
The smartwatch is now available in Xiaomi’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada, as well as in authorized offline retailers nationwide. Home Credit users can also take advantage of a 0% installment promo.
