The Philippine weather agency, PAGASA, has issued a warning about dangerously high heat index levels in several parts of the country on April 10, 2025.
The heat index measures how hot it feels when temperature and humidity are combined. In 17 areas, it’s expected to reach between 42°C to 51°C, categorized as “danger-level.”

- Dumangas, Iloilo
- Panglao International Airport, Bohol
- Catarman, Northern Samar
- Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte
- Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur
- Musuan, Bukidnon
- Cotabato City, Maguindanao
- Butuan City, Agusan del Norte
Extreme Caution Levels in Metro Manila
Even in Metro Manila, temperatures are high. Pasay City is expected to hit a heat index of 41°C, and Quezon City could go up to 39°C.
Residents in affected areas are urged to stay hydrated, wear light clothes, and avoid outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
