Maya Bank has earned two major accolades: Forbes named it the Philippines’ best overall bank, while The Banker recognized Maya as the country’s top digital bank.
In Forbes’ 2025 survey, Maya Bank ranked highest among all Philippine banks, traditional and digital. This is its first time leading the local list and its third consecutive appearance on Forbes’ global roster. The survey was conducted in partnership with research firm Statista, which included over 50,000 consumers across 34 countries and evaluated banks on customer satisfaction, trustworthiness, terms, customer service, digital offerings, and financial advice.
Meanwhile, Financial Times’ The Banker has named Maya Bank the top-ranked digital bank in the Philippines in its inaugural Neobank Rankings, placing it among the Top 100 digital-first banks globally. Factors like asset strength, capital efficiency, and growth propelled the bank to the top of the rankings.
Maya Bank’s success follows a strong 2024, with its parent group achieving profitability by year-end. The bank’s deposits surged to ₱39 billion — a 59% increase — while its customer base grew to 5.4 million. Its loan disbursements reached ₱92 billion, alongside 100,000 credit cards issued, 40% of which went to first-time cardholders.
Integrated with the broader Maya ecosystem, including the Maya app and Maya Business, the bank uses data to offer more personalized financial services.
Maya Bank is supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), with deposits insured up to ₱1 million by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC).
