YouTube Music Premium prices in the Philippines: Is it worth switching?

See local prices and how it compares to Spotify’s upcoming price hike.

YouTube Music Premium has been available as a standalone subscription in the Philippines for some time. The service was originally bundled with YouTube Premium but can now be accessed separately.

Here are the current monthly subscription rates:

  • Student: ₱75
  • Individual: ₱149
  • Family: ₱239

Subscribers get an ad-free music experience, offline downloads, and background playback—even while using other apps or when the screen is off.

The service remains bundled with YouTube Premium as well, offering the same music features alongside ad-free access to YouTube videos, offline viewing, and background playback on mobile devices.

With Spotify set to raise its prices in September, YouTube Music Premium could be a more affordable option for Filipino listeners.

Would you consider switching to this service over Spotify or Apple Music? Share your thoughts below.
