YouTube Music is rolling out new features to make finding songs and podcasts easier. The update introduces Ask Music and Podcast Lineup, both coming soon to subscribers worldwide.
Ask Music is a conversational tool built into the app. It lets you search across more than 300 million tracks, including studio recordings, remixes, live sets, covers, and DJ mixes. You can use it to build queues, check artist stories, and control playback with simple prompts.
Podcast Lineup is an AI audio guide that gives you a weekly spoken preview of recommended shows. It explains why certain podcasts might interest you and lets you jump into episodes hands-free. This makes it easier to discover new content without scrolling through long lists.
YouTube shared that in July alone, users discovered new artists over 450 million times on the platform. These new tools aim to push that number higher by making discovery more personal and effortless.
