POCO M7 Plus 5G debuts with big battery, 144Hz screen, and low price.

POCO has launched the M7 Plus 5G in India, its newest budget phone in the M series. It follows the M6 Plus from last year and brings a few key upgrades.

POCO M7 Plus 5G

The M7 Plus 5G has a 6.9-inch FHD+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3. The front camera is 8MP, placed in a punch-hole cutout. On the back, there’s a 50MP main camera and a second sensor.

Under the hood, the phone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable via microSD.

It ships with Android 15 and HyperOS, with two years of OS updates and four years of security patches. POCO includes AI tools like AI Dynamic Shot, AI Eraser, and AI Sky replacement.

The phone packs a massive 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 33W fast charging. Despite the large battery, the phone is just 8.4mm thick.

Other features include IP64 water resistance, a side fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and Google Gemini integration.

The phone is available in Chrome Silver, Carbon Black, and Aqua Blue colors. Prices start at ₹13,999 (around ₱9,080 or $160) for the 6GB+128GB model and ₹14,999 (₱9,730 or $170)for the 8GB+128GB version. Sales begin August 19.
