Ayala to exit Honda dealerships by January 2026

The company wants to focus on EVs.

Ayala Corp. is stepping away from its Honda dealership business in the Philippines after 35 years. Its mobility arm, ACMobility, will hand over operations to new dealer principals starting January 1, 2026.

Until the end of 2025, ACMobility will continue running Honda dealerships in Makati, Pasig, Shaw, Bacoor, Cebu, Mandaue, Iloilo, Negros, and Cagayan de Oro. After that, incoming management and dealership groups will take over.

The company said it will focus on electric vehicles and other areas of future mobility. The transition will help streamline its operations and invest in growth.

This change follows ACMobility’s recent decision to end its Volkswagen distribution in the country. Despite stepping back from Honda and Volkswagen, Ayala still operates dealerships for BYD, Isuzu, and Kia.

Since 1990, ACMobility has sold more than 220,000 Honda vehicles nationwide. The company hasn’t yet named the new dealer principals. Stay tuned for updates.
