Online gambling links in PH drop 93% in Q3, says CICC

Adult gambling URLs fell from 4,308 in Q2 to just 275 in Q3.

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) reported a huge drop in online gambling links in the Philippines, citing a 93.61% decline in detections during the third quarter of 2025. The data is from the latest Whoscall Scam Report, compiled in partnership with Gogolook, a global TrustTech firm and developer of the Whoscall app.

According to the report, adult gambling URLs fell from 4,308 in Q2 to just 275 in Q3. The CICC said the drop was attributed to improved government monitoring, site takedown operations, and ongoing public awareness campaigns about illegal gambling.

“ Illegal online gambling is not only a moral and social issue— it fuels financial crimes, data theft, and money laundering,” the agency said in a statement. It emphasized that each takedown helps reduce digital exploitation and protect Filipino families.

The CICC also said users are more alert, suggesting that awareness efforts are working. It plans to continue working with private sector partners and civil society groups to keep gambling links down.
