This add-on will make your toilet smarter. Kohler has launched the Dekoda, a smart sensor that attaches to your toilet and checks your waste for signs of dehydration and digestive issues.

It uses light-based sensors to study the shape, frequency, and consistency of waste. It also alerts users when it detects blood, which could signal a health problem.
Dekoda installs without tools using a clamp. It comes with a magnetic charger and a wall-mounted remote that uses fingerprint recognition to tell users apart. Kohler says the device may not work well on dark-colored toilets due to low lighting.
The data is encrypted and sent to the Kohler Health app, which is available on iOS. An Android version is coming soon.
To access the insights, users need a subscription: $6.99/month or $70/year for individuals, and $12.99/month or $130/year for families. The Dekoda, on the other hand, is priced at $599 (~₱34,930).

While Dekoda doesn’t diagnose medical conditions, it will help users spot changes that may need attention. It’s part of Kohler’s push to make bathrooms smarter and more connected.
