Nubia Fold launches with Snapdragon 8 Elite and dual 120Hz displays

The foldable features a Snapdragon 8 Elite, dual 120Hz displays, and a 6,560mAh battery.

Nubia has unveiled its first book-style foldable, the Nubia Fold. The phone is set to launch in Japan on December 4, 2025, priced at JPY 178,560 (around PHP 67,290 / USD 1,145). A wider release is expected in 2026.

The Nubia Fold comes with an 8-inch main display with a 2480 x 2200 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s also a 6.5-inch cover screen at 2748 x 1172, also running at 120Hz. The main panel supports split-view, so you can run two apps side by side. When unfolded, the phone measures 144 x 160 x 5.4 mm. Folded, it’s 11.1 mm thick and weighs 249 g.

Inside, the device runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It ships with Android 15 and has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Power comes from a 6,560mAh battery with support for 55W fast charging.

For cameras, you get a 50MP main, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro at the back. Up front, there are two 20MP selfie shooters, one on the main display and another on the cover screen. The phone is available in a single black color.

The Nubia Fold marks the brand’s entry into the foldable space. Availability in other regions is yet to be revealed. Stay tuned for updates.
