PLDT Home is marking Women’s Month with a stronger push for AI adoption and digital infrastructure tailored for Filipina entrepreneurs. The company highlights the growing role of women in the country’s tech-driven economy, noting that 66 percent of SMEs are owned by women and 62 percent of newly registered businesses are led by them.
According to PLDT Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer Menardo “Butch” Jimenez, Jr., connectivity is now the backbone of innovation and inclusion. He emphasized that women entrepreneurs are at the forefront of digital transformation, and PLDT Home aims to provide them with the tools and AI capabilities to lead in this space.
High-speed fiber has become essential for livestream selling, digital payments, real-time order management, and AI-assisted customer support. PLDT Home continues to support these needs, ensuring women-led businesses have the bandwidth and reliability to compete in a digital-first market.
One example is Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH), a nationwide community supported by PLDT Home, now with over 225,000 members. The group fosters collaboration, peer support, and access to emerging digital tools.
Building on this success, PLDT Home and Google Philippines are set to relaunch the Gemini Academy for MMPH, featuring advanced modules on workflow automation, predictive analytics, and responsible AI integration.
PLDT Home will also host the 4th Gawad Madiskarte Awards on March 28, 2026, recognizing women entrepreneurs who are building resilient, innovation-driven enterprises.
