Insta360 has officially launched the Luna Ultra, its first handheld gimbal camera co-engineered with Leica. The device is a direct rival to DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4P, bringing premium optics and advanced stabilization in a compact body.
The Luna Ultra carries a 1-inch main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 20mm focal length, paired with a telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and up to 12x digital zoom.

Video recording goes up to 8K at 30fps, with support for 4K at 120fps and 240fps slow-motion. Photos reach 37MP in UltraPhoto mode and 200MP panoramas, with 10-bit recording, Dolby Vision, and I-Log support.
A detachable 2-inch touchscreen works as a remote monitor and controller, usable up to 20 meters away in both portrait and landscape. Audio is handled by a four-microphone array for clearer capture.
Battery life is rated at 4 hours from a 1,550mAh cell with fast charging. Stabilization comes from a 3-axis mechanical system enhanced by Deep Track 5.0. Storage includes 47GB built-in plus microSD expansion up to 1TB. Connectivity includes USB-C, Wi-Fi 6 for the main unit, and Wi-Fi 4 for the detachable display.
