Insta360 has confirmed the X6 launch on August 12, 2026. The new 360 camera packs dual 1-inch sensors, a dedicated AI chip, and a smaller body that’s easier to handle.
Leaks show the X6 can shoot 8K video at 50fps, with smoother slow motion and better low-light shots. It also adds Replaceable Lenses 2.0 and a PureVideo Mode for night use. Battery life is listed at 140 minutes in 8K mode, powered by a 2,600mAh battery.
AI features are built in. The camera supports Panomind processing, cloud editing with Google Gemini AI, and automatic license plate blurring for privacy. These tools aim to make editing faster and simpler.
The design is shorter and wider than the X5, closer to the GoPro Max. It’s meant to feel more natural in hand, whether you’re a pro or casual shooter.
Pricing differs depending on leaks, so expect around €589 for the base model and up to €789 for bundles. With these upgrades, the X6 is Insta360’s biggest step forward in years, set to compete directly with the DJI Osmo 360 II.
