Apple Watch users in the Philippines can finally connect their devices directly to Smart and Globe networks. This means there’s official support for cellular connectivity, letting subscribers use Apple Watch without keeping their iPhone nearby.
With this, users can send messages, make calls, stream music, and access apps straight from their wrist. It’s a practical upgrade for those who want to stay connected while on the move.
For postpaid subscribers, the service is available as an add‑on. Smart offers Smart Device Link for ₱199 per month, while Globe provides ONENUMBER for the same monthly fee. Both allow users to share their mobile number with the Apple Watch, ensuring seamless connectivity across devices.
Supported models include the Apple Watch Series 3 or later and the Apple Watch SE, running at least watchOS 8.3. Activation requires an Apple Watch with cellular capability and an iPhone on the latest iOS.
Smart and Globe customers can set up the service through the Watch app, where the Cellular option is now available.
This rollout is significant for local Apple Watch owners. Before, Philippine users had limited access to full cellular features, relying mostly on Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth. With Smart and Globe support now live, the Apple Watch becomes more useful for fitness, travel, and everyday communication.
