Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro in China, featuring oversized batteries and large OLED displays. The series introduces two mid-range models, each targeting different needs.
The Redmi Note 17 features a huge 7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness. It comes with a 50MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection with IP65 durability.
Under the hood, it runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable via microSD. Powering the device is an 8,000mAh battery rated for 1,600 charge cycles, supporting 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro opts for a smaller 6.83-inch OLED panel but offers sharper resolution, 12-bit colors, and 3,500 nits peak brightness.
Inside is the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage (UFS 3.1 on higher variants). It packs a larger 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 67W fast charging.
Durability is stronger with IP68 and IP69K ratings, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and drop resistance up to 3 meters. Audio is upgraded to stereo speakers. Cameras remain modest with a 50MP rear sensor, 2MP depth sensor, and 8MP front camera, all limited to 1080p video.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 1,300 (~USD 190 / ₱11,810) for the Note 17 and CNY 1,600 (~USD 240 / ₱14,550) for the Note 17 Pro, with discounts of CNY 100 and CNY 200, respectively.
Both models are now official, with global versions expected to have slightly different specs.
