Apple has rolled out iOS 26.6 for iPhones, focusing on bug fixes, security, and system stability. The update brings over 75 security patches, Spotlight search improvements, and small tweaks that prepare devices for iOS 27.
The update makes Spotlight indexing faster and smoother, setting the stage for bigger changes in the next release. It also fixes an enterprise issue with the DisableAssociationMACRandomization key, giving IT teams proper control over Private Wi-Fi Address settings.
For everyday users, iOS 26.6 adds a new alert when the blocked contacts limit is reached. The system now tells you to remove one blocked number before adding another, making contact management clearer.
According to the code, Apple is working on an anti-snatch security feature. This would automatically lock an iPhone if it detects sudden movement, but it is not yet enabled in this version.

Apple is now shifting focus to iOS 27, expected in September. That update will bring major upgrades to Spotlight, Siri, design, and performance. To check if your iPhone has the update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
