Smart Communications now supports Apple Pay in the Philippines, giving subscribers a faster and safer way to buy prepaid load and pay postpaid bills.
Apple Pay works on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. After adding a supported credit or debit card to the Wallet app, Smart users can pay for load or bills quickly and securely.
Payments are verified using Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode. Apple doesn’t store or share card numbers with merchants, keeping every transaction private and secure.
“Smart has always been at the forefront of bringing world-class innovations to Filipinos, and we’re proud to be among the first partners to welcome Apple Pay in the Philippines,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP and co-OIC at Smart.
“With Apple Pay, subscribers can now buy prepaid load and pay their postpaid bills with an easy, secure, and private payment experience,” he adds.
Apple Pay in the Philippines currently supports cards from Metrobank, UnionBank, Chinabank, and GoTyme Bank, covering Visa and Mastercard credit and debit cards. More banks are expected to join in the coming days.
