Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max have officially debuted in China, introducing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chips and new privacy-focused displays. The phones bring major upgrades in performance, cameras, and battery life.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro is the first device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the 18 Pro Max uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme variant. Both models feature hardware-level privacy displays with advanced controls, offering stronger protections than rival flagships. The rear screens now support mini apps, AI wallpapers, widgets, and Xiao AI assistant interactions.
Camera hardware takes center stage. The phones carry a triple-lens system with a 200MP Light Hunter 960 main sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto with 3.2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. This setup aims to deliver sharper detail across zoom and wide-angle shots.
Display specs include LTPO AMOLED panels with 2K resolution, adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz, and peak brightness of 4,000 nits. The 18 Pro has a 6.4-inch screen, while the 18 Pro Max stretches to 6.9 inches. Both are protected by Dragon Crystal Glass 3.
Battery capacity has increased significantly. The 18 Pro carries a 7,000mAh unit, and the 18 Pro Max steps up to 8,500mAh. Charging options include 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 27W reverse wireless support. Both phones run HyperOS 4 and come with IP69 water and dust resistance.
Color options include black, white, pink, and blue, with a special red edition featuring a transparent back. Pricing starts at CNY 5,999 (~ PHP 56,050 / USD 895) for the 18 Pro and CNY 6,999 (~ PHP 65,400 / USD 1,045) for the 18 Pro Max, with top configurations reaching CNY 10,999 (~ PHP 102,766 / USD 1,642).
Global availability is confirmed later this year, meaning you can expect the Xiaomi 18 Pro series to arrive in more markets soon.
