Buying an iPhone Duo? Apple sets two-unit limit in more countries

Apple is expanding iPhone Duo purchase limits to more countries as demand for its foldable phone stays high. Customers in several markets can buy only up to two devices per order.

The new limit has been spotted in countries including the US, UK, Japan, and Spain. If customers try to add more than two iPhone Duo units to their cart, Apple shows a message asking them to lower the quantity before checking out.

The move appears to be aimed at slowing down scalpers and resellers. Some units have already shown up online with much higher asking prices, making it harder for regular buyers to get the device at its official price.

Apple has used similar limits before when demand for a product outpaced supply. This time, the restriction comes as the iPhone Duo continues to attract strong interest following the start of preorders.

Early stock sold out fast in several markets, leading to longer delivery estimates for many customers. Some buyers have since seen their shipping dates move up, but demand remains strong.

The purchase cap in the aforementioned countries applies no matter which storage option or model configuration a customer chooses. Those trying to buy more than two units will be asked to reduce their order to complete their purchase.
