HTC has announced the HTC One Mini 2. Like its predecessor, it sports the same look as its more expensive sibling, the HTC One (M8).
Much like the M8, the One Mini 2 uses the same aluminum back and the same color options, but with a plastic border around the screen. You also won’t find the UltraPixel camera, with HTC opting for a 13MP rear cam instead. The Stereo BoomSound speakers are still there. The rest of the specs were scaled down to mid-range levels. The One Mini 2 comes with a 4.5 inch HD display (1280 x 720, 326 ppi), a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, 16GB of storage (+microSD), 1GB of RAM, 5Mp front cam, and a non-removable 2110 mAh battery. The mini smartphone is powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat covered by HTC Sense 6 with BlinkFeed.
How mini is this mini 2? The specs are mid-range. And it will definitely look good, seeing as it shares the looks of the M8. But in our country, I think its price will determine if it becomes a success or not.
The HT One Mini 2 is said to become available in Asia by June.
