The HTC U Play is now available in the Philippines. The phone features a quad-core Helio P10 processor, 64GB storage, and 16MP rear and front cameras.
HTC U Play Philippines: Price, Specs, Availability
HTC is officially back. The Taiwanese company is bringing a slew of device that include the HTC U11, the HTC U Ultra, and now, the HTC U Play.
The HTC U Play features a 5.2-inch full HD SuperLCD display. Like the U Ultra, this phone is also wrapped in glass with a type of Gorilla Glass up front and the 3D contoured “liquid surface” glass at the back. The handset has dimensions measuring in at 5.75 by 2.87 inches with a “thinness” of just 8mm.
Under the hood, the HTC U Play is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It has a microSD card slot via the hybrid SIM slot 2 which can accommodate up to 256GB.
Mobile photography is primarily handled by the 16MP rear camera. It is equipped with a f2.0 aperture lens, optical image stabilization (OIS), phase detection auto focus, and a dual LED flash. For selfies, the 16MP front camera will do the job with its wide angle 27mm lens.
As for the rest of the phone’s specs, the HTC U Play comes with the HTC Sense Companion. It is a digital assistant will try to get to know you and your daily patterns over time, allowing it to predict what you need at a given time frame, and promptly inform you about it. It also has a 2,500mAh battery, which I think is small compared to what’s currently on the market in its price range.
