HTC U Ultra officially lands in the Philippines

Aside from the flagship HTC U11, Taiwanese company HTC also brings the 5.7-inch HTC U Ultra with Dual Display to the Philippines.

The HTC U Ultra features a large 5.7-inch SuperLCD5 display with quad HD resolution topped with a curved edge Gorilla Glass 5. It also features a 2.05-inch secondary display (ala LG V20) above the main display that shows your favorite contacts, apps, reminders, event notifications and more.

The phone is essentially wrapped in glass, with the aforementioned Gorilla Glass front along with the 3D contoured “liquid surface” glass back. It is quite large measuring in at 6.39 by 3.14 inches with a thin profile of just 0.31 inches (8 mm).

Inside, the HTC U Ultra is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, ceremoniously paired with 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 530 graphics chip. Storage is at 64GB with an expansion slot that can accommodate to 2TB microSD cards.

For mobile photography, the U Ultra relies on a 12MP rear camera complete with f1.8 aperture sapphire glass covered lens, OIS, Laser AF, PDAF, a dual LED flash, and an UltraPixel mode. The front camera uses a 16MP sensor also with UltraPixel mode plus other features such as Auto HDR, 1080p video recording and voice activated shutter.

As for the rest of the specs, the large phone has a 3,000 mAh battery, HTC’s BoomSound speakers, a fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port. Missing is the 3.5mm audio port.

The HTC U Ultra also comes with the HTC Sense Companion, the company’s digital assistant. The technology aims to get to know you and your daily patterns over time, allowing it to predict what you need at a given time frame, and promptly inform you about it.

The HTC U Ultra is now available with a retail price Php26,990. You can check it out at HTC’s official store in Lazada Philippines.
