OnanOff’s kid-friendly BuddyPhones headphones are now available in the Philippines. These colorful cans are designed to protect your kids from excessive levels of sound.
BuddyPhones
The BuddyPhones are designed specifically for kids. It comes in Yellow, Blue, Pink, Purple, Green and Orange; and it also comes with sticker packs, allowing your kids to decorate and customize the headsets. The materials used are lightweight and the pads are very comfortable. Not surprisingly, the cans are very durable as well. We found out how strong it was when my two year old started twisting the headband as soon as he got his hands on it. It came out unscathed.
The BuddyPhones also come with flat cables to minimize tangles and is equipped with a built-in BuddyCable audio splitter. This allows up to four more BuddyPhones you daisy chain for shared listening between kids and parents.
Up to 85 Decibels +/- 3
To protect our kids from the long-term effects of excessive levels of sound (like hearing loss and ear infections), Onanoff built the BuddyPhones with a volume limiting technology that keeps sound pressure within 85 decibels or less, which is the approved level recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). I cranked up the volume while playing music on my phone to see how it does it. At higher volumes, I noticed that music sounded like there was a layer between the headphones and my ears. The high volumes did not feel uncomfortable and the sound quality didn’t suffer as much as I thought it would.
