Bose Cinemate 15 Home Theatre Speaker System Review

We take a look at the Bose Cinemate 15 Home Theatre Speaker System. Don’t let the size of the soundbar fool you. It provides powerful sound in a small package.

Design

The Bose Cinemate 15 Home Theatre System features a small soundbar partnered with a subwoofer. The system looks like its designed for those who have smaller spaces or for those who enjoy a minimalist setup.

The soundbar is smaller than most and takes up little space. It measures in at just 3.25 H x 12 W x 2.75 D inches and weighs in at just 1.5 lbs. It connects to the rest of the system with one cable.

The subwoofer (known as the Acoustimass module) has dimensions of 14.5 H x 8.8 W x 19.1 D inch, weighing in at 23.3 lbs. It is huge, but sits comfortably (and mostly unnoticed) on the side.

Like most of Bose’s products, the build quality of the Cinemate 15 is excellent. Granted damaging it is minimal because you won’t be moving it around too much, but its always good to know that the speakers are durable and well-built.

Audio Performance

The Bose Cinemate 15 sounds great, especially for its size. I tested the system by watching the Guardians of the Galaxy movie in HD.

Despite it’s small size, the soundbar is able to fill our small room with sound. I was surprised at how much power it was able to generate, giving more life and excitement to the Guardians. The dialogue was very clear, and you can hear the footsteps, laser fire, and other sounds that I don’t usually notice more detail.

The subwoofer is just as powerful as well. Granted that its huge, but it delivers enough bass that you can feel it.

Conclusion

The Bose Cinemate 15 is a great solution for those looking to get the best possible movie experience in such a space saving package. I highly recommend it. The soundbar delivers excellent sound for its size and the sub-woofer has enough power you could feel the bass. The only problem now is the price.

The Bose Cinemate 15 retails for P39,000. You can get one at authorized Bose dealers and Bose retail stores.
