Last May, news broke out that Samsung was planning to sell refurbished Note 7‘s. The phone was suppose to have the same high-end specs, but with a smaller, more stable battery. Now called the Galaxy Note FE (FE for “Fan Edition”), a new report suggests it will be release in South Korea on July 7. Samsung originally planned an end-of-June release, but the company decided to delay it by a week.

According to the source, the phone will only be available in South Korea with Samsung planning on selling only 450,000 units through the country’s top three mobile carriers.

The report also mentioned that the Galaxy Note FE will to come with Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant. If the news is correct, this will be the second phone (next to the Galaxy S8 series) to boast such a feature.

I don’t know about you guys, but I hope this won’t just be a South Korea exclusive. The Galaxy Note 7 was a great device after all.

No official announcement about the release of the Galaxy Note FE has been made.
