There’s no denying that HTC makes great devices, and their most recent flagship, the HTC U11, is actually quite remarkable. The brand is making a comeback in the Philippines, but still difficult to buy one. Good thing you can tap local online markets like Widget City for hard to find devices.
The HTC U11 features a 5.5-inch quad HD Super LCD5 display, an aluminum/glass build, and a new “squeeze” feature. It also has an IP67 water resistance rating, same as the iPhone 7.
The phone has pressure sensitive areas on its side called “Edge Sense.” It can be configured to launch an app, launch Google Assistant, or do other things such as open the flashlight, when you squeeze the sides.
Inside, the HTC U11 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with a huge 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Surprisingly, the phone skipped the 3.5mm audio jack in favor of the USB Type-C port.
With terms of mobile photography, the HTC U11 packs a 12MP rear camera with a f1.7 lens, dual pixel autofocus, and optical image stabilization. For selfies, users can rely on the 16MP front camera with f2.0. At the time of writing, the phone holds the number one spot on the DxOMark mobile camera ratings with 90 points.
