iOS 11 Now Available; Which iPhone and iPad gets it?

For those of us who did not go through Apple’s Beta Software program, iOS 11 arrives today. The update has a file size ranging from 1.8GB up to 2GB, depending on your device.

For those in a hurry to check out iOS 11, here are some things to remember before proceeding to update. Just to be on the safe side, backup your files and photos before updating. Also, make sure you have enough free space, and battery life (better if you’re plugged in).

Immediate changes you’ll notice include updated icons for stock apps, a new redesigned Control Center, some new animations, and a new look for the App Store.

It is generally safer to wait a few weeks before updating. Don’t be like me. I got excited and already updated my iPhone 7 Plus as soon as it was available. I have not yet experienced any glaring problems so far, except for some app incompatibilities.
