Apple drops 256GB Mac mini, PH entry price now ₱49,990

Apple has stopped selling the Mac mini with 256GB storage. The entry model now starts at 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, priced at ₱49,990 in the Philippines.

When the M4 Mac mini launched in 2024, the compact device was celebrated for its design and price. The 256GB version was ₱36,990, while the 512GB model was ₱48,990.

The removal of the lower storage option means you now face a higher entry price, but with more usable storage out of the box.

The base configuration now starts with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Users can upgrade RAM to 24GB or 32GB, and storage up to 2TB. With the M4 Pro chip, options expand to 64GB of RAM and 8TB of storage. The top-end model with all the bells and whistles (excluding software add-ons) goes all the way up to ₱292,990.

For Philippine buyers, the Mac Mini remains available through Apple’s online store and authorized resellers like Beyond the Box.

Removing the 256GB option will standardize higher base specs, though it also raises the starting price for those looking to get into the Mac ecosystem.
