Xiaomi recently launched the Black Shark gaming smartphone in China. The handset features 6-inch display, Snapdragon 845, and a water cooling system.
Xiaomi’s Black Shark
Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone, the Black Shark, is now official. The handset features customized hardware built to deliver the best gaming performance, and includes top of the line internals such as a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB/8GB RAM, and a large 4,000 mAh battery.
The handset fronts a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with a 2160 by 1080 resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Inside, you have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with either a 6GB RAM /64GB Storage combination, or an 8GB / 128GB. The phone does not have a microSD card slot.
Interestingly, Xiaomi managed to equip the phone with a liquid cooling technology with the capacity to bring the CPU temperature down when needed. The GPU also comes with an image processing chip for smooth performance on the fly.

Aside for the internals, the Black Shark boasts a a 12MP (f/1.75) + 20MP (f/1.75) dual camera setup. The front camera has a 20MP shooter with a f/2.2 aperture lens.
True to its gaming build, the handset also comes with a Gamepad attachment that connects on one side. It connects via Bluetooth and has its own 340 mAh battery. It also has a dedicated button on one side that enables a gaming mode to boost performance.
The Black Shark gaming smartphone is available for pre-order in JD.com in China until April 20. The 6GB/64GB will have a price of CNY2,999 (roughly PHP25,000 or USD480), while the 8GB/128GB will go for CNY 3,499 (PHP29,000 or USD556).
No information yet if it will make it in the Philippines. If it does make it here, I would assume its going to be carried by local online resellers.
