Apple officially launches the new MacBook Air. The thin laptop features an updated display, Touch ID, a USB Type-C port, and stereo speakers.

The new MacBook Air finally gets a Retina Display. The new screen has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a pixel density of 227ppi. The display is now surrounded by black bezels which Apple claims to be 50% smaller than the previous generation.
Inside, the MacBook Air is powered by a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 8th Gen with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1.5TB of SSD storage. It has a built-in 50.2 watt-hour battery which the company claims can last up to 12 hours of web use and 13 hours of iTunes movie playback with up to 30 days of standby time.
Apart from the display and processor, the new MacBook Air also has a slew of new hardware features. It now sports a set of stereo speakers at the side of the keyboard which are said to have 25% more volume and 2x more bass.
It has a Touch ID built into the keyboard, supported by Apple’s new T2 security chip for added protection.
The new MacBook Air also comes with two Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C port
The new MacBook Air 2018 is priced at PHP74,990 for the 8GB+128GB model and PHP86,990 for the 8GB+256GB.
The old MacBook Air with 8GB+128GB is still available for PHP53,990.
