FUJIFILM announces instax Square SQ20; Hybrid instant/digital camera

The FUJIFILM instax Square SQ20 is now available in the Philippines. Priced at PHP 12,999, the SQ20 is classified as a hybrid, having features of both an instant camera and a digital one.

The instax Square SQ20 uses instax Square film. As a hybrid instant camera, it combines a digital image sensor with digital image processing technology, allowing you to take photos first before printing.

At the back you have a digital display, allowing you to view the images that you have taken. It also comes with a rechargeable internal battery, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Up front, there are two shutter buttons for easy handling with either hand. There’s a selfie mirror and a short zoom function as well.

The SQ20 comes with a number of interesting features. The “Motion Mode” lets you shoot up to a 15 second video. You can then choose which moment you want to print. Another feature called “Time Shift Collage” allows you to take four images with a time difference, and then printing it on a single square film.

Apart from the modes, the SQ20 also has filters a la instagram. You can spice up images before printing, giving them a different life and feel.

The FUIJIFILM instax Square SQ20 comes in Matte Black and Beige. It is now available in stores with a price of PHP 12,999.
