Huawei is rolling out the EMUI 9.1 update to the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro. The latest update is based on Android Pie and comes with new features and performance enhancements.
EMUI 9.1 comes with Huawei’s new file system called Extended Read-Only File System or EROFS. The new file system increases random read speeds by up to 20% and improves system space of up to 1000 pictures or 500 songs. It also improves security by isolating interference of system files.

The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro launched in the Philippines on November 3, 2018, and debuted with the AI-powered Kirin 980 processor. Even today, the Mate 20 series’ triple cameras belong on the list of top camera phones.

Global Rollout of EMUI 9.1
The global rollout of the EMUI 9.1 started on June 27, 2019. Huawei is said to have tested the firmware on over 40 devices. We’re not sure what that means or if it will reach all those devices, but they did announce which phones are getting the update.
Again, like all updates, this will come in batches which means you should expect delays.
